[SATLUG] My MythTV problems

I just ran across this and thought that it might help someone else out. 
Apperently I needed to optimize my mythdb.  I made the following script 
executable and ran it.
 /usr/share/doc/mythtv-backend/contrib/optimize_mythdb.pl.

I have only just done this and am currently testing the stability of mythtv.  
If I have no crashes within the next few hours I will consider the problem 
solved.
