[SATLUG] My MythTV problems

ok so after about a year (on and off) of tryng I have managed to get MythTV up 
and running on Ubuntu Feisty. (by the way it is much easier to set up now 
then it was under edgy or dapper) I have a PVR-500 and I can watch TV on my 
back porch on my laptop now from my workstaition/server in my bedroom.  Only 
problem is that the MythTV backend keeps crashing on me after about 15-30 min 
of tv watching.  
funny thing is it only seems to crashes when I am using the mythtv frontend on 
my workstation/server.  It does not seem to crash if I am watching tv from 
one of the other frontends (laptop or the kitchen computer).  It only seems 
to crash when I am watching TV in my bedroom. Oh yeah and the crash is a hard 
crash that requires I do a hard reboot.  It completely locks up the system 
and crashes anyother frontends that I have running.
I need some help in trouble shooting this as I can not seem to find anything 
in any of the log files.  

any help would be appreciated as I have had little luck googling this problem.
