First of all, have you ever known somebody that was pregnant by rape? I
have. That is a tired argument. That is like the spurious argument
offered by illegal bit torrent fiends: there is plenty of legitimate
traffic on bit torrent, yada, yada (yeah, ok). There are
pharmaceuticals, like the so called 'day after pill' that would prevent
unwanted pregnancies from rape. For cases where the fetus shows evidence
of birth defects, perhaps there should be room for exceptions, but where
do we draw the line? In places like China they might consider females a
'birth defect'. Abortion as birth control is never the right thing to
do, but I will admit that there are cases where abortion should be an
option.
