[SATLUG] cups/samba raw printing from xp workstation

Like the subject line says, I'm using cups/samba on centos as a print
server for xp workstations.

Works great, except for one printer which refuses to cooperate.  All
printers are connected via built-in network card and communicate on port
9100.

hp designjet 5000p - works
hp designjet 1050c - works
hp 8750            - works
okidata c5200n     - does not work

(yea i'm seeing a trend there with the brands...)

anyway, everything is setup in cups as a raw printer, and shared out via
samba.

xp desktops download printer driver automatically from samba (nice).

almost all went smoothly, but the oki just mysteriously refuses to print
with a "Printing Failed When Starting The Document"

btw, this is a "windows only" printer, which I thought I could circumvent
with raw printing, since the clients really are xp.

any ideas?
