[SATLUG] samba docs have a good description of MS networking

keeping in mind, I've been gone from the house for the last hour.

Samba bothers the hell outta me, too... eats up a lot of disk-space with all this being logged...  I never installed 'CUPS', nor did I ever tell it to try to connect to it, either.  Go figure.
