I've been using and supporting some smaller customers with BEFW11S4 for
a couple years. And its been a great little box. They've steadily
upgraded the software improving its functions and usability.

And in the couple dozen I've worked on, only ran across one with a
problem. It was at a local small motel that was providing free
hi-speed. The router would occasionally stop handing out DHCP
addresses. Restart it, or even just restart the DHCP server, and
everything was OK. I finally figured out that the owner had plugged it
into the wrong strip and it wasn't protected by an UPS as I had
instructed. Since then, no problems.

Oh, and by the way -- Best Buy had a deal on those about a month ago
where you fork out $49 for one and then got it all back in rebates.
Only thing you wound up paying was the tax at purchase time. Guess you
missed that one...

Anyone using the LinkSys BEFW11S4 router, and care to share the good, bad, or ugly?

I realize it operates on 802.11b (not G)

Never used one, and for >$20 seems a good price for a basic router, or is the WRT54G worth the extra $20.

    Noticed Staple calls the WRT54G " broadband " but shouldn't it be a WRT54GS ?
