[SATLUG] OOo Writer problem

I've just loaded Fedora4, and it brought with it OOo 2.0. The Writer in 
OOo 2.0 is too buggy for me to do what I want to do, and besides, the 
available documentation for Writer is for 1.something.. But I do have a 
CD with Writer 1.something on it. Does anybody know whether I can leave 
Fedora4 as my operating system and just load Writer 1. in instead of 
2.0. Or do I have to be careful about how I do that 
loading/unloading/replacement job.
