I think it was a problem on your end. I have been using all three
servers on my home system for over a year.
$ /sbin/ntpq -p
bash: /sbin/ntpq: No such file or directory

The names are different because the published names are aliases for the
canonical names above.
I did have a problem with one a few months back, but it was brief.
