Gentoo is great.  The community is extremely helpful.  Portage is really
great at saving you from dependency hell.  The only downside to Gentoo,
is if you have an older CPU expect really long compile times.

They are set to finally release Gentoo 1.4 at LinuxWorld Expo next week,
so I would recommend holding out a week.  The good thing is that if you
cant wait, updating to 1.4 final is easy.
