I'm trying to install Slackware 8.1 on an old K6-300 which doesn't support
booting from CD-ROM. I tried to build a boot floppy using rawwrite (yes, I'm
using my Windoze box right now...please don't shoot) from bare.i. The floppy
boots up, but during kernel boot-up, it goes into kernel panic complaining
about RAMDISK. I've looked throguh different FAQs and install notes, and
even ran some searches, but can't seem to come up with a solution. Any
ideas?
Joshua
(A note to the RTFM people: Yes, I have posted a stuipd idiot newbie-esque
question, but I'm still looking on my own for an answer. :) )
