[SATLUG] recording RealPlayer - how?

I need some help recording from RealPlayer...
I found some gems that I would like to save as mp3, but whenever I am trying
to record to a wav or some computer file format, I get:

Could not open audio DSP device.

or, from another program:

AudioDevice::read_buffer: Bad file descriptor

Clearly, the RealPlayer program is writing to the sound device at the same
time while I am trying to record from it. Is there a way around this problem?
