<terrified scream!!!>
My God, how can these people continue to create such massive bugs? Do thay
have a whole department dedicated to desiging new security flaws?!? I'm now
seriously considering making my machine single-boot. :)

Subject: [SATLUG] did anyone see tonight's screensavers?
they were talking about the winxp sp1 release and one of the bugs that it
fixes which M$ has known about for quite sometime, involves a segment of
code which can be masqueraded as a link and uses the unload method of M$'
version of jscript to deletes files off of your computer.
holy moly...that's huge!!!
anyhow...so far as i can tell the bug is only in xp and, of course, doesn't
affect tux and friends, but still...how on earth did those buffoons manage
to leave that gaping hole wide open?
more importantly...how many other whacko holes are we going to find in days
to come?
