[SATLUG] OT entry status

I've been trying to find a job(and move back) in the SA area for quite some 
time.  my back ground is Mechanical Design (Engineering/CAD) and Aircraft 
Mechanics, but neither of these seem to be in demand in San Antonio.

Although i've been running Linux at home since about 96 i've never made a 
living with those skills, except for being the group fix it guy(AIX, Catia, 
Solaris, and what ever software needs it).  

i relaize it's not much to start an IT carreer on but what kind of pay would 
i be looking at for a Entry level job.

all response are appciated on list or off.
