[SATLUG] XMMS question

Switch user to root and go to the directory ABOVE where all your MP3s are
stored. Example - if the MP3s are stored in /home/ruben/mp3s, go to the
/home/ruben subdirectory. Use the command 'chown' to change the owner with
the -R switch to apply it to all downward subdirectories. The command in
this example would be "chown -R username:groupname ./mp3s". Of course, plug
in the username and groupname that you want to change ownership to. This
will solve all your problems as the user will now own the MP3 files and can
access them.

Subject: [SATLUG] XMMS question

I normaly ran as root until i wised up and started using a non-rood accout.
All my mp3's were saved while in root so now that i am running xmmx as a
user, my music won't play. XMMS is also telling me that there is no
inputsignal. Can you help so I can get to listening to music again.

Thanks,
Ruben
