[SATLUG] Sound card DSP

Okay, this has me stumped.

VmWare states you can get sound to work in the virtual machine by pointing to 
the /dev/device for your sound config. I've tryed /dev/dsp , /dev/dsp1 , 
/dev/audio  and none seem to be work. Yes, sound works great in the Xwindows. 
Yes, I can get sound to work from the command line. I've looked through the 
/dev directory and still, it doesn't seem to work.

Anyone have an idea I could try? I've checked the resources on their website 
and so on, still, no sound.

Redhat 7.2 and XP as the virtual machine. Otherwise, its been working great.
