[SATLUG] Mounting a Macintosh floppy

Mac floppies (3 1/2 inch) came in three evolutions. 400k, 800k and 1.4 meg.
The 400k and 800k look identical (single hole) but obviously the
formatting was different. The 1.4 have two holes. The MacOS
operating system stop supporting 400k around 6.0.8 and by MacOS 8.0 I
think 800k support was dropped. Macs generally have had the
capability to read and format standard DOS disks as well so that is
another possibility (it probably is not a PC DOS disk). If this is
extremely valuable material let me know off list and I may be able to
help you.

Linux distros that might work on a old powerbook. Depends on the
powerbook. MKLinux supports generally older equipment (Mac II). If
the powerbook is fairly new you could checkout Yellowdog, Mandrake or
LinuxPPC.

In theory, practice and theory are the same,
but in practice they are different.

Remember: it's a "Microsoft virus", not an "email virus",
it's a "Microsoft worm", not a "computer worm".
