[SATLUG] kernel and tulip

I compiled a kernel (Redhat 7.3) last night following the kernel-HOWTO, including 'make modules' and 'make modules_install'. (Seems odd to do those makes *after* making the bzImage.) When I booted the new kernel, eth0 failed due to not being able to find the tulip module. I don't remember seeing any xconfig choices regarding eth0. Whenever I've installed RH7.x from CD, eth0 has been fine right out of the box; this is the second time I've tried kernel compiling and eth0 was messed up each time. So I've always used the huge kernel since I need eth0. What need I do to fix this? Is it just a matter of installing some tulip module? ..Karl
